Meditate:Medicate

We’re making our final descent into the darkest part of winter. The season of twinkling lights, hibernation, stillness. silence, festivities and renewal. Because there is a pervasive sense of negative vibration, unease, and fear in the air at this moment in time, staying close to our inner peace is crucial for balance, joy, compassion, and gratitude.

In homeopathy we use the irritant as the source for healing. The condition itself becomes the remedy. One of my long-time energy healers says it this way: LIFE is a homeopathic remedy. For many years I have worked to find the causes of my distresses, physical or emotional, by moving toward them, embracing them, listening to them. Does it sound odd? Have you tried that; moving in to to the restlessness?

The solutions and cures for my dis-ease, discomfort, or distress, often come clear when I keep an open-mind, get quiet and still enough to listen, and remember patience. Rome wasn’t built in a day!

My go to is to practice mindfulness, use my tools knowing I will steady, get calmer, be less reactive. You know how I often say, when things get messy, I meditate more. I walk more. I rest more. I allow the anger or feat to talk to me. If I’m quiet enough inside, I learn a lot. I can ‘heal’ myself more easily. My mindfulness medicine works its magical miracles.

TNH says peace in the world can only happen by each of us having peace inside first. Those of us who share this idea, do have more joy, understanding, compassion and love to feel and to give. No, it is not selfish and wrong. It is the way, the path, the Tao. We each get to choose it.

So I’m daring us all to take our medicine everyday. Start with 5 min, 10, 30. At least one time in every waking day, stop, find your breath, find your peace.

Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
