My foray into 2026 began with loss; three dear friends since October. I’ve felt the need for less activity, less noise and kindness. For me that led to more time on the cushion. I realized that the world-wide hunger for more inner stillness is a response to the aggressive impolite things the 21st century has exposed us to. We have been knocked off balance in unexpected ways.
I wanted to share a reimagining of a prayer you will surely recognize. I reframed it for an event about peace and justice a few years ago. When you feel the darkness, it’s a wonderful tool for light, strength and comfort.
- Mindfulness is my pace-setter, I shall not rush.
